Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What do conservatives believe?
-In essence, conservatives believe in a weaker more federal government, reduced taxes, a strong stance on foreign policy and defense spending, and strong family values.  For more information on what conservatives believe, please refer to the Rush Limbaugh video pertaining directly to this subject.

2.  Are all Republicans conservatives?
-Not even close!  Just because a person adheres to the political values of the Republican party, that does not ultimately make them a conservative.  Republicans may classify themselves as liberal, moderate, or conservative.  And the vast majority of Republicans in politics do not classify themselves as conservatives.

3.  What is so great about Ronald Reagan?
-Ronald Reagan entered the presidency in the early 1980s, during a time of political and foreign crisis.  During that time, he used his conservative values to set America on a strong course of recovery and many people believe his policies greatly benefited this country.  Many conservatives today work to emulate the ideology of Ronald Reagan for that simple reason; he was an effective leader and one of the most influential presidents of the 20th Century.

4.  Are conservatives taking from the poor and giving to the rich?
-Unlike many of the stereotypes we have heard, the conservatives are not running a 'reverse robin hood scheme' and trying to take money to give to the rich.  Rather, they do not work to punish the wealthy.  Conservatives strive for lower taxation which will allow for unmitigated growth and production.  Therefore, they do not impugn the morals and values of the wealthy; conservatives believe the prosperous have earned what they have and do not believe it is the role of the government to punish people for being wealthy.

5.  Why are conservatives so keen on gun rights?
-Conservatives value the teaching of our forefathers through the artifact of the Constitution of the United States.  Conservatives are strict interpretators of the Constitution and believe entirely in the 2nd Amendment's guarantee of the right to bear arms.
